Studio Setup

The room, the hardware and the apps that keep a one-person studio running, from the desk and the screen to backups and time tracking.

The whole desk at seated height: a monitor with a dark screen, a laptop on a stand, two small external drives, tidy cables and the black chair.

A studio of one is its own IT department. The computer, screen and tablet are the tools of the trade, and after eight hours at the desk the chair matters as much as any of them. Behind them sits the quiet infrastructure: backups, passwords and a calendar that keeps client work from eating the week.
