I may not be a DIY blogger, but I am still a blogger, so throwing some glitter around the studio every once in awhile can only be expected–and if there’s any excuse to break out the sparkly stuff, it’s the holidays! In a quest for the perfect festive mantle, my mom and I put together this garland: hand-lettered by me, and thoroughly glitterized. Since there’s no time like the holidays to go over the top with decorations, I can only assume your Christmas and New Years celebrations require some extra glitz–which is why you can download and print everything you need to make your own ‘Cheers’ garland!
This DIY is extra-simple (but a little messy–glitter, you know?) Print your download onto card stock and cut out each letter. Use a small paint brush to apply glue liberally to the light sections of the letters and sprinkle with glitter. Let them dry, then repeat with the dark sections. You can past each letter to poster board and then cut out again for a stiffer letter, to counteract the curling that all that glue will cause. Sew your letters together and let the party begin!
